Hyundai Construction Wins Silver Gilt Medal at UK Horticultural Exhibition
Hyundai Construction announced on the 22nd that a work jointly submitted with Sungkyunkwan University at the recently held RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse 2025 in the United Kingdom received the Silver Gilt Medal.
The event was held at a grand estate in South Yorkshire, England, with 31 works in four categories making it to the finals. Choi Youngil, a manager at Hyundai Construction, and Choi Hyeyoung, a professor at Sungkyunkwan University, entered the show garden category with the theme "Garden Whispers." The company explained that the Silver Gilt Medal is an award that ranks between gold and silver. It is said to be rare to win this medal on a first attempt.

View original imageThe award-winning work used pillars arranged at various heights to create an effect that invites viewers into a poetic natural landscape. Some elements incorporated 3D printing technology using recycled plastic. Choi stated, "I am pleased that Hyundai Construction's sincere commitment to providing residents with relaxation and vitality through harmony with nature, beyond simply creating living spaces, seems to have resonated with the European sensibility."
The award-winning work is planned to be recreated at the Hyundai Construction The H Bangbae site, which is scheduled for completion next year.
