Lotte Donates 1 Billion Won for Recovery from Heavy Rain Damage
Lotte Distribution Group and Lotte Wellfood Affiliates
Provide Emergency Relief Supplies and Food
On July 21, Lotte Group announced that it will donate 1 billion won to support the swift recovery of areas affected by heavy rainfall and to assist displaced residents.
The relief donation will be made to the National Disaster Relief Association through the Community Chest of Korea, and will be used for recovery efforts in affected areas as well as for providing relief supplies to those displaced by the disaster.
In addition to the donation, Lotte affiliates will provide food and daily necessities to residents affected by the disaster. Lotte Distribution Group plans to deliver emergency relief supplies for 2,000 people?including beverages, cup noodles, and energy bars?to evacuation centers in Sancheong County, South Gyeongsang Province, and Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province, through the National Disaster Relief Association. Lotte Wellfood also plans to provide food supplies worth 300 million won through the Korean Red Cross.
Earlier this year, Lotte Group donated 1 billion won to support residents displaced by wildfires in North Gyeongsang Province, South Gyeongsang Province, and Ulsan. At that time, Lotte Distribution Group, Lotte Wellfood, and other affiliates also delivered emergency relief supplies consisting of bottled water, cup noodles, and other daily necessities.
