Hyundai Motor Group Donates 2 Billion KRW for Flood Damage Recovery
50% Discount on Repair Costs for Flood Damage
Hyundai Motor Group announced on July 21 that it has donated 2 billion KRW to aid in flood damage recovery and has launched emergency restoration support activities.
Hyundai Motor Group delivered the donation to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to ensure the swift recovery of flood-affected areas such as Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province and Gapyeong in Gyeonggi Province, as well as to provide prompt support to residents. In addition, the group has deployed six laundry and disinfection relief vehicles to the affected areas to help process contaminated laundry and to assist with rapid disinfection efforts at the disaster sites.

View original imageFurthermore, Hyundai Motor Group is offering a variety of services for customers who own vehicles damaged by the heavy rain. When flood-damaged vehicles are brought in for repairs, the company will provide up to a 50% discount on repair costs and will also offer a complimentary car wash service after repairs are completed. The maximum discount amount for Hyundai vehicles is up to 3 million KRW for passenger cars and up to 5 million KRW for commercial vehicles. For Kia vehicles, support is provided up to a maximum of 3 million KRW for both passenger and commercial vehicles. These discount services are available to customers who do not have comprehensive auto insurance, and a damage confirmation document must be presented.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Group has continued to donate funds for disaster recovery, including a 2 billion KRW donation earlier this year for wildfire relief in the Gyeongsang region and Ulsan. The group has also provided donations for recovery efforts following the 2023 heavy rains, the 2023 Gangneung wildfire, the 2022 heavy rains, and the 2022 wildfires in Uljin and Samcheok.
