NHN Invites Game Development Club Alliance 'UNIDEV'... Leading the Way in Talent Development
Invitation to Headquarters and Tour... Second Half Game Division Recruitment
Supporting Career Exploration with Table Talks by Job Function
NHN announced on July 21 that it had invited the National University Game Development Club Association (UNIDEV) to its headquarters and held an event to discover and connect with future talent in the gaming industry.
NHN conducts open recruitment for its game business division every year, and is preparing for another round of recruitment in the second half of this year. This invitation event was organized as a pre-recruitment initiative to help participants better understand NHN's game business and to identify outstanding talent early on, ahead of the official hiring process.
UNIDEV is an alliance formed in 2023 by game development clubs from more than 20 universities across the country, including KAIST, Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University. Its goal is to create an environment where university student developers interested in game development can share ideas and freely create. Through various events such as its own game exhibition 'UNICON,' the group has enhanced its development capabilities and emerged as an up-and-coming developer community that is drawing attention from the gaming industry.
At the event, more than 30 university students affiliated with UNIDEV participated in a headquarters tour, an introduction to NHN games and Q&A session, and table talks by job function (business, planning, development, art). The table talk sessions, in particular, received the most enthusiastic response. Participants noted that having the opportunity to hear directly from professionals in each field and ask questions was highly beneficial for exploring their career paths.
A student from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University who attended the event shared, "I was curious about how a game company actually operates. It was valuable to hear explanations from professionals, and I found it interesting that, in addition to 'Hangame,' which is well-known as a mind sports platform, there are various other projects underway in a surprisingly free and flexible atmosphere."

Kim Sangho, Head of NHN's Game Business Division, said, "It was a meaningful experience to interact directly with the core talent who will lead the future of the gaming industry. We plan to continue providing opportunities for outstanding individuals to get closer to NHN by sharing practical experiences and expanding engagement going forward."
