Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Wolseong Headquarters (Director: Jung Wonho) announced that Shin-Wolseong Unit 2 (pressurized water reactor, 1 million kW class) ceased power generation at 10:00 a.m. on July 20 and began its 7th scheduled preventive maintenance.

During the scheduled preventive maintenance period, Shin-Wolseong Unit 2 will undergo statutory inspections in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Act and the Electric Utility Act, nuclear fuel replacement, comprehensive inspections of power generation facilities, and facility improvements. Power generation is scheduled to resume around August 30, 2025, after these procedures are completed.
