Sejong City Promotes Population Education Instructor Training to Raise Awareness of Low Birth Rates
Participants Wanted Until the 29th of This Month
Due to declining birth rates and the resulting population decrease, it is projected that not only local communities but also the national future may be at risk.
On July 17, Sejong City and the Sejong Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Agency announced that they are recruiting participants for the "Population Education Instructor Training Program" to overcome the population crisis.
This instructor training program, being promoted as part of population education to improve awareness of low birth rates, targets professionals such as current and former elementary, middle, and high school teachers in the region, youth leaders, and social workers who have an interest in and experience with population education.
The program will run for a total of 36 hours, with two-hour sessions every Monday and Wednesday from August 11 to October 29. It will be conducted through a combination of online lectures and offline group training. Those who complete the program will have the opportunity to serve as population education instructors at local schools and youth organizations. Applications will be accepted until July 29, and interested individuals can apply through the Sejong Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Agency website, where detailed information on the application guidelines and required documents is also available.
Lee Youngok, Director of Health and Welfare, stated, "The instructor training program will serve as an opportunity to reflect once again on the value of family and community through a proper understanding of low birth rates," and added, "We hope for active interest and participation so that this program can provide practical help in addressing the low birth rate issue in the local community."
