Kyobo Securities Launches Eco-Friendly Campaign "Green Race MoaMoa Challenge"
Kyobo Securities announced on the 17th that it will hold the "4th Green Race MoaMoa Challenge" to foster an eco-friendly corporate culture.
The event will run until October 2025 and was planned to put into practice Kyobo Securities' ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management goal of "responsible actions that create positive change for society, the environment, and the world."
The Green Race is an event where employees carry out eco-friendly activities in their daily lives to accumulate points, which are then donated, in pursuit of sustainable growth. Employees register their weekly activities on the company's intranet, with a target of up to 50,000 points per person per week.
This year, to further encourage participation, the challenge is divided into the "Moa I Challenge" and the "Moa II Challenge." In the Moa I Challenge, employees can register a total of 25 activities on the intranet, such as recycling, tree planting, purchasing low-carbon certified products, and using public transportation. Points are awarded differently depending on the activity's impact. The Moa II Challenge allows employees to easily participate in eco-friendly actions by uploading verification photos to the Moa Platform, operated by the Seoul Volunteer Center.
The accumulated points will be converted into donations at a certain ratio and used for ecosystem restoration, planting nectar-producing trees to protect forests and bees, and biodiversity conservation activities.
Over the past three years, Kyobo Securities employees have carried out a total of about 15,000 eco-friendly activities and donated the accumulated funds to the Environment Foundation.
