LocknLock Publishes 2025 Sustainability Management Report
LocknLock announced on the 17th that it has published its '2025 Sustainability Management Report'.
In the environmental sector, the company reduced its direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions (Scope 2) in 2024 by 18.4% and 34.6%, respectively, compared to 2022. LocknLock also plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy used at its production base in Vietnam to 30% by 2030. Additionally, a total of 3,509 MWp of solar power generation facilities are scheduled to be installed at the Vung Tau site in Vietnam.
The company has obtained ISCC PLUS certification for products using eco-friendly amorphous copolymer and chemically recycled polypropylene, and these materials have been applied to the 'LocknLock Classic' product line exported overseas. LocknLock is also continuously expanding the use of eco-friendly packaging materials, such as introducing FSC-certified packaging for its 50L kimchi refrigerator model.
The company is running the resource circulation campaign 'Love for Planet', collecting waste plastics and utilizing them for the production of industrial materials and replica benches for Jeju Olle Trail, thereby continuing its upcycling activities. LocknLock also established the employee biodiversity protection club 'Eusseuk', which carries out activities to protect endangered species. Recently, the company has been promoting a desertification prevention project in Mongolia, contributing not only to ecological restoration but also to establishing a foundation for economic activities for local residents.
