A parking tower has been completed near Byeongjeom Station in Hwaseong to alleviate parking shortages in the area and improve convenience for transfer passengers.

View original imageOn July 14, Hwaseong City held a completion ceremony for the "Byeongjeom Station Complex Transfer Center Parking Tower," attended by approximately 50 people, including Mayor Jeong Myeonggeun, City Council Chair Bae Jeongsu, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member Lee Jinhyung, and other city council members.
The newly completed parking tower is located at 946-6 Jinandong, on the west side of Byeongjeom Station. It is a five-level structure with four stories above ground, providing a total of 313 parking spaces. The parking tower is equipped with a pedestrian bridge that connects directly to Byeongjeom Station, significantly improving convenience for station users.
The parking tower will begin pilot operation on the 1st of next month. During the pilot period, the facility will be open to the public free of charge, and the city plans to collect citizen feedback before commencing official operations.
Mayor Jeong stated, "With the completion of this parking tower, public transportation accessibility for citizens will be improved," adding, "We will ensure thorough preparations for operation to resolve urban parking shortages and enhance convenience for residents."
