Shinhan Bank Continues "Ttaenggyeoyo, Win-Win Store" Initiative... Sharing Meals with Low-Income Groups
Shinhan Bank announced on July 14 that it will continue its "Ttaenggyeoyo, Win-Win Store" initiative this year to help small business owners increase their sales and to promote a culture of sharing with underprivileged groups.
This corporate social responsibility program provides financial support to small business owners who help address food insecurity in their local communities. In the first round of the project last year, 100 small business owners partnered with Ttaenggyeoyo shared meals with approximately 12,000 people through 169 social welfare facilities nationwide.
Small business owners wishing to participate in the program can apply through the "Clap" website from today until August 8. Up to 2.1 million won in support will be provided to each of the 100 selected participants, including a 1 million won sharing grant, a 500,000 won livelihood grant, and a 600,000 won Ttaenggyeoyo grant (discount coupons).
The selected small business owners will use the sharing grant provided in advance to conduct food-sharing activities at senior welfare centers, child welfare facilities, and similar organizations. Shinhan Bank will provide an additional 500,000 won livelihood grant to those who complete the certification and registration of their sharing activities to support their business operations.
A Shinhan Bank representative stated, "We hope this initiative will help underprivileged neighbors in welfare blind spots have a healthy summer," adding, "We will continue to expand support for vulnerable groups facing physical, emotional, and economic difficulties during the hot season, and will further strengthen our commitment to mutual growth with customers and the local community."
