The ceremony was attended by Jin Okdong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, and Kim Ingyu, Chairman of the Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association.
This program is the only overseas training program in Korea dedicated to young people with disabilities. Until last year, a total of 1,086 young people had been selected and supported, and this year, 500 million won in sponsorship funds was provided once again.
The 20th team will operate under the theme "Disabled Youth Dream Team in Action," with two types of training: a planned training program conducted with experts, and a free training program where the youths plan their own training courses.
Actively engaged young people with disabilities from various fields have been selected, including Kim Hansu, a national boccia athlete for the Paralympics, and Heo Woori, a visually impaired anchor. A total of 52 young people with disabilities and non-disabled peers will each be paired up and embark on challenges in three countries: the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States.
