Gathering Opinions on Reducing Workload and Protecting Teachers’ Rights
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Seokjun Kim) will hold the event "2025 Dialogue with Teachers: From the Classroom to the Office of Education, Together Towards the Future" at 4:30 p.m. on July 15 in the International Conference Room on the 6th floor of the Education Office Annex.
This event has been organized as a platform for direct communication, where the superintendent will meet with teachers to listen to voices from the field and reflect them in future educational policies and administrative operations. Around 70 teachers from various educational settings?including kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as special schools?are expected to attend.
The main agenda items include discussions on Superintendent Kim's pledges and current policy issues, such as reducing teachers' workloads, protecting teachers' rights, and the direction of future education. The event will be broadcast live on the Busan Education TV YouTube channel to enable real-time communication. Staff members who are unable to attend in person can also participate by submitting questions via YouTube comments, to which the superintendent will respond directly, facilitating two-way communication.
Superintendent Seokjun Kim stated, "The normalization of Busan education begins with overcoming the one-way, top-down administrative approach," and added, "I will continue to connect the voices from the field to practical policies so that teachers can take pride in their work and focus on education."
