Guro District Opens "Guro Daengnyangine" for Stray Cat Adoption and Companion Animal Education
On July 13, Guro District in Seoul announced that it opened "Guro Daengnyangine," a cultural space for the coexistence of people and companion animals, on July 11. The district will offer various programs, including adoption consultations for stray cats, companion animal education, and pet etiquette campaigns.

View original imageGuro Daengnyangine aims to create a pet-friendly city where companion animals and people coexist harmoniously. The facility was established after Guro District was delegated the operation of the Seoul Municipal Animal Welfare Center (472 Gyeongin-ro) by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Since beginning operations on June 25, it has served as a hub for promoting companion animal culture in the local community.
The opening ceremony was held in the afternoon of July 11. Guro District plans to operate various programs at Guro Daengnyangine, such as adoption consultations and education for stray cats, companion animal education and correction programs, and pet etiquette campaigns.
