Sancheong County to Launch Cashback Event and Discount Sales
"Get Up to 20% Off
with Mobile Sancheong Love Gift Certificate"
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on July 10 that it will launch a "Mobile Sancheong Love Gift Certificate (ZeroPay) 20% Discount Event."
This event has been organized to reduce the management burden on small business owners and micro-entrepreneurs, and to revitalize the local commercial district, which has been weakened by wildfire disasters. As part of the event, customers who use the mobile Sancheong Love Gift Certificate at affiliated local stores will receive a 10% cashback on their payment amount.
Additionally, when purchasing the Sancheong Love Gift Certificate through the ZeroPay app, customers can receive an extra 10% discount on top of the existing offer, making them eligible for a maximum discount of 20%. The cashback event will run from July 11 to October 10, but may end early if the allocated budget (approximately 600 million won) is exhausted.
Participation is automatic upon payment, and each person can receive up to 100,000 won in cashback per month (to be paid in the middle of the month following the payment date). To participate in the event, users must agree to receive marketing information and consent to the use and outsourcing of personal information for the event through the ZeroPay app.
Previously, Sancheong County had planned to issue Sancheong Love Gift Certificates (both mobile and paper, totaling 12.6 billion won) twice this year (April and September), but has expanded the issuance to 18.5 billion won in the odd-numbered months of the second half of the year (July, September, and November).
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "I hope this event will help revive consumer sentiment, which has stagnated due to wildfires, and contribute to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "We will continue to promote various events and initiatives to help overcome these challenging times."
