It focused on areas vulnerable to pedestrian accidents, such as children's protection zones, senior citizen protection zones, school routes, and back roads.
In particular, to prevent pedestrian accidents by expanding safety facilities for vulnerable pedestrians, the city expanded the installation of anti-slip pavement to prevent accidents during rainy weather and winter freezing. It also newly installed tactile paving blocks to assist the safe movement of visually impaired individuals, thereby creating a safer environment.
Paju City plans to complete the construction of safe pedestrian paths in three additional sections, including in front of Geumchon Sports Park, during the second half of the year. The city will accelerate facility improvements to promote a pedestrian-centered traffic culture and prevent accidents.
