Incheon Mayor Yoo Jungbok Visits U.S. and Canada to Promote Investment and Expand Exports
Yoo Jungbok, Mayor of Incheon, will visit the United States and Canada from July 9 to July 16 for an eight-day, six-night trip to expand investment cooperation with global companies and universities and to promote overseas exports of Incheon's agricultural and marine products.
On July 10 (local time), Mayor Yoo plans to visit the headquarters of Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, Georgia, to discuss ways to expand direct flights between Incheon and major U.S. cities.
He will then hold a meeting with Korean businesspeople in the Atlanta area, where he will request active participation and cooperation in the World Korean Business Convention to be held in Incheon this October, as well as the World Korean Business Conference scheduled for April next year.
On July 11, he will meet with the president of the Georgia Institute of Technology to discuss attracting an affiliated research institute to Incheon. Afterwards, he will travel to Savannah to meet Richard Kessler, Chairman of Kessler Collection, who visited Incheon last month, to discuss participation in the 'K-Con Land Project.' Kessler Collection is a luxury boutique hotel brand group based in Savannah, Georgia, operating hotels, resorts, and restaurants in major tourist destinations and historic cities across the United States.
On July 14, Mayor Yoo will host the 'Incheon Agricultural and Marine Products Toronto Launch Event' in Toronto, Canada, aiming to expand local sales channels and pioneer the North American market for Incheon's outstanding agricultural and marine products such as Ganghwado Island rice, red ginseng, and various grains.

Mayor Yoo stated, "This visit is an important opportunity to strengthen Incheon's global network and broaden the foundation for international cooperation," adding, "We will focus on expanding the investment base through collaboration with global companies and overseas universities, and on increasing overseas exports of Incheon food products."
