National Policy Planning Committee Holds Meeting with National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee to Discuss Expansion of Integrated Care Services
The National Policy Planning Committee held a meeting with the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee to discuss expanding integrated care services and addressing gaps in the public pension system, both of which are key policy pledges of the Lee Jaemyung administration.

View original imageAccording to the National Policy Planning Committee on July 8, the Social Affairs Division 1 held a meeting the previous day at the National Assembly with ruling party members of the Health and Welfare Committee to discuss the formulation of national policy tasks.
During the meeting, participants shared the progress of previous reviews to reflect health and welfare policy pledges as national policy tasks, and exchanged opinions on major initiatives necessary to build a "robust social safety net."
In particular, the meeting focused on expanding integrated care services to enhance public satisfaction, addressing gaps in the public pension system, and guaranteeing the rights of people with disabilities. Other topics included the implementation of the integrated nursing care service and the phased introduction of coverage for nursing care expenses, both of which are pledges of the Lee Jaemyung administration. Specific measures to strengthen local, essential, and public healthcare, as well as to establish South Korea as a global leader in biohealth, were also discussed.
The meeting was attended by Park Joomin, Chair of the Health and Welfare Committee, Lee Sujin, committee secretary, and other ruling party lawmakers, along with Lee Chanjin, head of Social Affairs Division 1, Kim Namhee, committee member, Kim Yoon, committee member, and other members of the National Policy Planning Committee.
