The National Ballet Company will perform 'Heo Nanseolheon - Suwolgyeonghwa (Water Moon Mirror Flower),' choreographed by Kang Hyo-hyung. This piece is inspired by Heo Nanseolheon, a mid-Joseon Dynasty poet and artist, and her poetry, reinterpreting Korean lyricism and sentiment through ballet. It depicts the beautiful yet poignant life of Heo Nanseolheon, who received high praise from contemporary literary figures for her exceptional literary talent, despite living in an era when it was difficult for women to be recognized for their abilities. Her story is expressed through the unique movements of Korean ballet.
