View original imageThe TEPS Management Committee of the Seoul National University Development Foundation announced on July 5 that it conducted a regular TEPS test in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the 14th of last month. TEPS is an English proficiency test developed by the Language Education Institute of Seoul National University and administered by the TEPS Management Committee. It is a private qualification test officially recognized by the Ministry of Education.
This test was held at the test center of Ajou University in Tashkent (AUT). Not only local university students but also students from local international schools participated in the test.
A regular TEPS test was also held in the Andijan region of Uzbekistan in January. There is a growing assessment that the reach of TEPS in Uzbekistan is expanding, as the test is being held in more regions, including the capital and Samarkand.

Lee Sungwon, Head of Planning and Marketing at the TEPS Management Committee, said, "We hope that TEPS, which has been receiving steady attention in Uzbekistan recently, can be used locally as well, not just as an evaluation tool for studying in Korea." He added, "We will do our best to widely promote the brand value of TEPS abroad."
