Seongsan District of Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province is providing congratulatory gifts to families who have registered births in Seongsan District this year.

View original imageThe birth congratulatory gift support project was established to welcome new life and encourage childbirth, with the aim of overcoming the low birthrate issue. This year’s congratulatory gifts consist of a specially prepared headband and a set of baby-on-board car stickers, chosen to commemorate the baby’s first moments and to ensure family safety.
In the first half of the year, there were a total of 2,312 birth registrations in Changwon, with 705 of those in Seongsan District, reflecting a relatively high proportion of birth registrations within the city.
Hong Soonyoung, head of Seongsan District Office, said, “I sincerely extend my congratulations and gratitude to the babies born in Seongsan District and their families,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to provide family-friendly administrative services so that Seongsan District becomes a place where all generations, from babies to seniors, can live happily.”
