Partnership Agreement Ceremony Held with Collaborating Institutions
Hanyang University announced on July 3 that it successfully held the "2025 Hanyang University RISE Jisan Industry-Academic Cooperation Workshop and Partnership Agreement Ceremony" at the Hanyang Institute of Technology in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

View original imageThis event was organized to discuss industry-academia-government cooperation strategies and to establish a sustainable foundation for collaboration, aiming for the successful implementation of the Regional Innovation-led University Support System (RISE) project, which is being actively promoted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The event, held on July 2, was attended by representatives from a variety of domestic and international organizations, including the Seoul RISE Center, Seongdong-gu Office, Korea Digital Convergence Promotion Agency, Megazone Cloud, LG Uplus, Ubion, Korea SMEs and Startups Training Institute, Nautilus Investment, CNT Tech, Ensoul Partners, Hanyang University Holdings, and Patent Law Firm Yuil Highest, among others.
In the first part of the event, Hanyang University presented its detailed plans for the RISE project. Through the presentation, the university shared specific action plans for nurturing talent tailored to Seoul’s strategic industries, supporting the growth of local companies, and advancing the infrastructure for industry-academic cooperation.
In the second part, during the multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, the participating institutions pledged to cooperate in a total of seven areas of industry-academic collaboration, including: nurturing young AI talent; fostering AI/cloud convergence professionals; supporting and investing in global startups; assisting foreign students with employment and internships; and supporting intellectual property acquisition and commercialization.
In his welcome speech, Hanyang University President Lee Kijeong stated, "Through the RISE project, Hanyang University aims to nurture talent in advanced industries and become a global hub for industry-academic cooperation," adding, "We will strengthen Seoul’s strategic industry ecosystem and lead university-centered regional innovation."
Kim Gwiyeong, head of the Seoul RISE Center, also remarked in his congratulatory speech, "Hanyang University's actionable industry-academic cooperation model is a best practice for the RISE system and will make a tangible contribution to building an innovation ecosystem throughout Seoul."
