He did not respond to reporters' questions, such as whether he had received any instructions from former President Yoon regarding the declaration of martial law or how he contacted Kang Uigu, former Presidential Secretary for Aides, and proceeded directly to the interrogation room.
Kim is known to have been involved in the drafting of post-cabinet meeting documents regarding martial law after the lifting of the 12·3 Martial Law.
The special prosecutor team is expected to question Kim, who closely assisted former President Yoon Sukyeol, about the process of declaring and lifting martial law, the circumstances under which the post-declaration statement was drafted and then discarded, and suspicions related to meetings at the presidential safe house.
