A man in his 70s was apprehended by police after attacking a fellow resident with a weapon at a nursing hospital in Gwangju.
Gwangju Bukbu Police Station arrested a man in his 70s, identified as A, at the scene on charges of attempted murder for stabbing and injuring another resident at a nursing hospital on July 2. The incident occurred at around 7:10 p.m. that day at a nursing hospital in Sinan-dong, Buk-gu.
According to the investigation, A got into a verbal altercation with B, a man in his 60s who was also residing at the same nursing hospital, over the use of the bathroom. When B grabbed A by the collar, A responded by wielding a weapon. B sustained injuries to his forehead and jaw, but his life is not in danger.
The police are currently investigating A to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
