Korea Rail Network Authority and Related Railway Associations Join Hands for Overseas Market Expansion Cooperation
On July 1, the Korea Rail Network Authority announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding at its Daejeon headquarters with related railway associations to mutually cooperate on overseas business development and market entry.
The seven railway associations that signed the agreement are the Korea Electric Railway Technology Association, Korea Railroad Construction Association, Korea Railroad Traffic Control Association, Korea Railroad Facilities Association, Korea Railroad Signal Technology Association, Korea Railroad Operation Technology Association, and Korea Railroad Vehicle Engineering.

View original imageUnder the agreement, both sides will cooperate in sharing information and providing support for overseas business expansion, strengthening networking with overseas project owners and for overseas business development, and offering technical training to foster talent for overseas projects.
The Korea Rail Network Authority has secured a total of 96 overseas projects in 28 countries, leveraging its experience and expertise in railway projects. The seven associations possess practical support capabilities in specialized technical fields such as railway construction, signaling, operation, and rolling stock.

Yoon Hakseon, Head of the Global Business Division at the Korea Rail Network Authority, said, "We expect to generate strong synergy by combining the Korea Rail Network Authority's experience in overseas projects with the specialized technologies held by the related railway associations." He added, "Through this agreement, the Korea Rail Network Authority will establish a foundation for cooperation with the related railway associations and help lead the overseas expansion of Korea's railway industry."
