'80 Years of Liberation' Reimagined by Youth: Busan Patriots and Veterans Affairs Office and Dongseo University Release Collaborative Promotional Video
The Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Namil Lee) released a promotional video reinterpreted with a youthful perspective in collaboration with the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Dongseo University on its YouTube channel on July 1, to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Liberation.
This video was planned and produced by the student team "MONGDDANG" from Dongseo University's Department of Advertising and Public Relations. It concludes with a memorable narration: "We are living in the wind (風) of 80 years ago, within their wishes (願)." The video emotionally conveys the message that the sacrifices and aspirations for national independence continue to shape today's Republic of Korea.
The students worked closely with the Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs throughout the semester, directly participating in planning, filming, and editing. One student who took part in the project said, "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Liberation, it was a meaningful experience for the younger generation to reflect on the significance of patriotism," and added, "I hope this project will inspire more young people to see the value of patriotism in a new light."
Namil Lee, Director of the Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, stated, "This promotional video connects the sacrifices of the past with the values of today from the perspective of the younger generation," and expressed hope that "more citizens will reflect on the meaning of Liberation and broaden their understanding of patriotism through this video."
Along with the video release, the Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs is also hosting a quiz event on the "Yeogi Bohun" website. Participants who answer questions based on the video's content will have a chance to win prizes through a drawing.
