BYD Sets Price of Mid-Size Electric Sedan "Seal" at 46.9 Million Won in Korea
Up to 9.9 Million Won Cheaper Than in Japan and Australia
On July 1, BYD Korea announced that it has set the domestic sales price of the Seal Dynamic AWD, its second mid-size electric sedan to be launched in Korea, at 46.9 million won.
BYD Korea explained that the price is approximately 7.9 million won lower than in Australia (61,990 Australian dollars) and about 9.9 million won lower than in Japan (6.05 million yen), securing top-level price competitiveness for domestic customers.
The Seal is a performance-oriented mid-size electric sedan that combines a sporty design, powerful driving performance, and intelligent high-tech DNA. Features such as a D-cut steering wheel, integrated natural Nappa leather headrest seats, and subtle ambient lighting create an interior that is both sporty and luxurious.
The Seal Dynamic AWD is equipped with dual motors producing 160kW at the front and 230kW at the rear, delivering a maximum output of 390kW (530PS). It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
Currently, the BYD Seal Dynamic AWD model has completed all certification procedures and is only awaiting the announcement of eco-friendly vehicle status and the calculation of electric vehicle subsidies. The Seal RWD model is still undergoing certification procedures.
Test drives for the BYD Seal Dynamic AWD will be available to customers at 17 BYD Auto showrooms nationwide starting from the 19th.
