View original imageThis animation, created under the theme of "Meaningful Moments Shared with Korean Society Over the Past 30 Years," emotionally depicts significant moments experienced by Korean society from 1995, when BMW Korea was established, to the present in 2025. The fourth-generation BMW 5 Series, which appears throughout the video, was the first model sold by BMW Korea and symbolically represents the connection between the Korean market and the BMW Group.
BMW Korea collaborated with BMW Group headquarters for six months on every stage from planning to production to complete the 30th anniversary congratulatory animation, which can be viewed inside vehicles. The company explained that it is quite unusual for the BMW Group to produce content exclusively for a specific market.
The animation is available through the BMW Festive App, which is installed on BMW Operating System 7 or higher. The BMW Festive App is a unique feature that allows users to enjoy a festive atmosphere inside the vehicle during special anniversaries or holiday seasons. It is usually hidden and only activated for a limited time through remote updates and similar methods. It combines short animated videos with the vehicle’s ambient lighting and sound effects to provide passengers with an enjoyable and immersive audiovisual experience.
The animation will be available for a limited time until December, and can be viewed by clicking the "BMW Korea 30th Anniversary Message" pop-up that appears on the vehicle control display during the first week of each month.
A special 30th anniversary theme for BMW Korea will also be automatically added to the My BMW App.
