Goheung County Completes 'Doyang Complex Cultural Center' as Regional Cultural Hub
A Space for Health, Culture, and Communication
Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on July 1 that it held a completion ceremony for the Doyang Complex Cultural Center on June 27. The center was established to improve the quality of life and expand the cultural welfare infrastructure for residents in the southern region.
The Doyang Complex Cultural Center is a multi-purpose facility with a swimming pool on the first floor, a fitness center and a multi-purpose lecture room on the second floor, and a kids' cafe for families on the third floor. The project was completed with a total investment of 8 billion won.

View original imageGoing forward, the Doyang Complex Cultural Center plans to recruit staff such as swimming instructors and safety personnel while also beginning membership enrollment. The fitness center and multi-purpose lecture room on the second floor have already opened to the public. The kids' cafe on the third floor is currently seeking an operator, and will open as soon as preparations are complete.
In his commemorative speech at the completion ceremony, Governor Gong Youngmin stated, "The Doyang Complex Cultural Center is a symbol of change, where county administration and residents came together to find solutions. We will continue to provide unwavering interest and support so that this center can become a vibrant space frequently visited by local residents through diverse programs and systematic management."
The Doyang Complex Cultural Center will offer a variety of resident-tailored programs, including sports and cultural education. The county also plans to continue gathering feedback from residents and providing administrative support to further enhance satisfaction.
