Kang Hoonshik, Chief of Staff to the President, announced at a briefing held at the Presidential Office in Yongsan that Lee Dongsu, former Director of the Overseas Intelligence Bureau at the National Intelligence Service, has been appointed as the First Deputy Director. Kim Ho-hong, former Director of the North Korea Strategy Bureau at the National Intelligence Service, has been appointed as the Second Deputy Director. For the position of Director of Planning and Coordination at the National Intelligence Service, attorney Kim Heesoo, who previously served as an auditor for Gyeonggi Province, has been selected.
