View original imageAccording to Gumi City on June 29, this friendly foot volleyball tournament served not only as a simple sporting event but also played a pivotal role in fostering bonds and cooperation among the eup, myeon, and dong districts.
The city stated, "This event was a valuable opportunity to witness the cohesion and power of communication within the local community, embodied in the healthy sweat of local sportspeople," and added, "Each eup, myeon, and dong sports association serves as a reliable pillar for local sports."
In particular, the tournament highlighted the contributions of the eup, myeon, and dong sports association members who have dedicated themselves to major sporting events in Gumi, such as the Asian Athletics Championships and the Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival. Event officials unanimously agreed that their consistent participation and volunteerism have laid the foundation for the development of sports in Gumi.
The city has continuously expanded the infrastructure for everyday sports, focusing on regional sports centers, and plans to further accelerate the systematic construction of facilities and the development of programs so that all citizens can easily enjoy sports activities nearby.
