Sejong City Accepting Applications for Lifelong Education Voucher Program Until July 10
350,000 KRW for My Own Learning
The Sejong Institute for Lifelong Education and Human Resources Development announced on June 27 that it will conduct the second round of recruitment for the 2025 Lifelong Education Voucher Support Program, which it is implementing on behalf of Sejong City, until July 10.
The Lifelong Education Voucher is a program designed to encourage citizens' participation in lifelong learning and to bridge educational gaps. Selected citizens will receive educational support worth 350,000 KRW per person, provided as points on an NH Nonghyup Chaeum Card (credit or debit).
The points can be used to pay for course fees and related textbooks, and must be used by the end of this year. Eligible applicants are adults registered as residents of Sejong City, and fall into the following categories: General (households with median income at or below 100%), Seniors (aged 65 or older), and Digital (aged 30 or older).
Any citizen who meets the criteria for each category may apply. The General and Senior vouchers can be used at designated institutions listed on the Lifelong Education Voucher website, while the Digital voucher can be used at specialized digital education institutions. Applications can be submitted through the Lifelong Education Voucher website. For more information regarding the Sejong City Lifelong Education Voucher Program, inquiries can be directed to the Lifelong Education Team.
Director Namkoong Young stated, "Lifelong learning is a right that all citizens should enjoy," adding, "We will continue to actively support the creation of an environment where anyone can easily participate in learning, and ensure that learning naturally becomes part of daily life."
