Namgu Gwangju Launches Full Operation of Community-Based Hope Welfare 'Daitso'

View original imageNamgu District in Gwangju announced on June 26 that it officially launched and began operating the community-based welfare project, Hope Welfare 'Daitso', at the Wolsan 5-dong Administrative Welfare Center on June 25.
'Daitso' is a market where daily necessities are distributed free of charge to residents in 17 neighborhoods, operated in cooperation with three comprehensive social welfare centers and the Namgu Community Security Council. The project aims to provide practical assistance to low-income residents in the Namgu area.
A district official stated, "Starting with Wolsan 5-dong, 'Daitso' will be operated in a relay format across each neighborhood," and added, "We will do our utmost to operate the 'Daitso' market to strengthen the social safety net within the local community."
