Dongbu Construction Wins 62.8 Billion KRW 'Honam Line Dongjinganggyo Bridge Improvement Project' Contract
Dongbu Construction announced on June 26 that it has been selected as the successful bidder for the 'Dongjinganggyo Bridge Improvement Project between Sintaein and Jeongeup on the Honam Line,' which was ordered by the National Railroad Authority through a comprehensive evaluation bidding system.
This project involves the construction of a new roadbed with a total length of approximately 1,643 meters in the area of Sintaein-ri, Sintaein-eup, Jeongeup-si, North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province. The construction period is 70 months from the start date, and the total project cost is approximately 62.8 billion KRW. Dongbu Construction will serve as the lead contractor with a 65% stake.

View original imageThe Dongjinganggyo Bridge was originally constructed as a single-track bridge for the upper line in 1914, and a lower line bridge was added in 1985, establishing a double-track system. However, due to aging, this improvement project has been initiated. Dongbu Construction expects that this project will enhance the safety of the aging bridge and contribute to the stability and efficiency of the local railway infrastructure.
