Man in His 40s Stabs Himself at Wando Home...Rushed to Hospital
Fire Department: "Heavy Bleeding... No Threat to Life"
A man in his 40s was rushed to the hospital after stabbing himself with a sharp weapon at a house in Wando, South Jeolla Province.
According to the Wando Fire Station and other sources on June 25, at around 10:20 a.m. the previous day, a man in his 40s, identified as A, stabbed himself in the abdomen with a sharp weapon at a house located in Sinji-myeon, Wando-gun.
A suffered heavy bleeding immediately after the self-inflicted injury. After a family member witnessed the incident and called for help, emergency responders from 119 provided first aid at the scene and transported him to Chosun University Hospital in Gwangju, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Fortunately, it has been reported that A's life is not in danger at this time. Fire authorities believe that A attempted to take his own life and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
