This AI admission interview was held for 82 foreign applicants across a total of six departments: Business Administration, Global Business Administration, Physical Education, Football Studies, Korean Language, and Industrial Design. Faculty members from the Business Administration, Industrial Design, and Korean Language departments participated directly in the interviews, enhancing the professionalism and depth of the evaluation.
The interviews were conducted smoothly through an AI-based system, and the applicants provided in-depth responses to key questions such as their motivation for applying to the graduate school and their chosen major, the specific reasons for selecting their department, and their future research direction and academic plans.
Joo Inyoung, Director of the International Student Support Office, stated, "This AI interview was a meaningful attempt to provide equal and fair opportunities to overseas applicants by overcoming the limitations of time and location," and added, "We will continue to advance a stable and efficient non-face-to-face admission system to attract outstanding global talent."
This AI admission interview was implemented as part of Honam University's efforts to create an internationalized educational environment and to innovate digital-based academic administration, and it will gradually be expanded to other majors and recruitment processes in the future.
