and the Efficient Use and Management of Farmland
Masan Hoewon-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held the first 2025 Masan Hoewon-gu Agricultural Land Committee meeting in the meeting room on the 4th floor of the district office.
The Agricultural Land Committee, which convened on June 20, deliberated on individuals who do not reside in the city or adjacent city, county, or district where the agricultural land is located, but seek to acquire agricultural land within the jurisdiction for the first time after August 18, 2022.
The committee members comprehensively reviewed the applicants' intention to farm based on their agricultural management plans, the feasibility of those plans, and the status of land restoration plans. The committee then determined eligibility for agricultural land acquisition by a majority vote of the attending members.
Since 2022, Masan Hoewon-gu has been operating the Agricultural Land Committee to ensure the acquisition and effective management of agricultural land. The committee consists of a total of 10 members, including nominees from agricultural institutions, nominees from non-profit organizations, and local farmers, and is responsible for reviewing applications for agricultural land acquisition within the jurisdiction of Masan Hoewon-gu.
Hong Seongho, Director of the Forest and Agricultural Policy Division, stated, "Going forward, the Agricultural Land Committee will continue to conduct thorough and meticulous eligibility reviews to ensure the proper establishment of the agricultural land system for farmers, as well as the efficient use and management of agricultural land."
