Through this project, welfare centers directly reach out to neighborhoods to identify socially isolated households and address welfare blind spots. The launch ceremony was organized as part of this initiative.
In particular, "Maullo(路) Login(人)" is a network of people who enter the community to care for their neighbors. Its significance lies in the fact that local residents and volunteers come together to take an interest in the lives of their neighbors and directly practice care.
More than 60 Maullo(路) activists from World Vision Mujin Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and from Gwangcheon-dong, Yudeok-dong, and Dongcheon-dong who participated in the launch ceremony plan to actively participate in care activities through close collaboration with the welfare centers. They aim to operate a community-centered care system that proactively responds to the diverse needs of isolated households.
The event included a series of activities: pre-ceremony resident participation programs such as making care packages and stamping handprints; an appointment ceremony for Maullo(路) activists; a reading of the activity declaration; and opportunities for networking and delivering care packages to participants.
A district official stated, "'Maullo(路) Login(人)' is not simply a volunteer organization, but a symbol of cooperation in which local residents themselves become the main agents of welfare and practice care together." The official added, "We will continue to communicate and provide support to realize a warm community welfare system that connects both public and private sectors, as well as residents themselves."
