Gwangju Office of Education Holds "Protecting Our Children from Gambling" Training Session
The Gwangju Office of Education conducted a training session titled "Protecting Our Children from Gambling" on June 20 in the small auditorium of the Educational Civic Cooperation Promotion Center, targeting around 30 participants including parents, faculty, and general citizens.
This training was organized in response to gambling issues arising from adolescents' rapid exposure to digital environments. The purpose was to emphasize the importance of early intervention by families and schools and to strengthen preventive activities.
During the lecture, Moon Seungcheon, head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Gambling Problem Prevention and Healing Center, introduced the necessity of cooperation between families and schools, as well as methods for preventing gambling problems and strategies for early intervention.
Superintendent Lee Jungseon stated, "We will strengthen preventive activities involving both schools and families to support the healthy growth of our children."
