Soonchunhyang University Social Welfare Department Wins Awards with Five Teams at National Assembly Policy Contest
One Grand Prize, One Top Excellence Award, and Three Excellence Awards
Soonchunhyang University announced on June 19 that five teams from the Department of Social Welfare received awards, including the grand prize, at the "Legislative and Policy Idea Contest for a True Welfare State" organized by the Welfare State Special Committee of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party.
The grand prize was awarded to third-year student Lee Kyungeun for the proposal "Customized Digital Competency Support Policy for Elderly Living Alone." The top excellence award went to Lee Yeonhee for proposing an amendment to the Disability Discrimination Act aimed at strengthening information access rights for people with disabilities.
Chairperson Baek Sunhee stated, "We will actively review these practical, real-life ideas at the National Assembly level so that they can be implemented as laws and policies."
