This donation was made to support the health of elderly individuals who experience difficulties in daily life due to chronic pain such as arthritis and back pain. The funds will be used primarily to provide pain relief patches to elderly people in vulnerable groups in Gwangsan-gu, and the support will be directed toward seniors with limited access to medical care.
Lee Hyojin, Head of the Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation, said, "Although it is a small gesture, we hope it will help elderly people who maintain their daily lives despite discomfort during the hot summer," adding, "We will continue to do our best to practice sharing and giving back to the local community."
Meanwhile, the Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation has been contributing to the spread of a culture of social contribution and sharing in Gwangju by supporting various initiatives last year, including job creation for the visually impaired, language education support for immigrants, revitalization of traditional markets through livelihood support for multicultural families and low-income groups, provision of health supplies for low-income seniors, improvement of the environment and production equipment for enterprises run by people with disabilities, and the donation of books and supplies for children.
