Sejong City Conducts Hygiene Training for School Meal Ingredient Suppliers
Food Poisoning Prevention and Supplier Compliance Requirements
Sejong City announced that it conducted hygiene training on June 18 for 56 companies supplying food ingredients to kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools.
On this day, a professional instructor from the Daejeon Regional Food and Drug Safety Office provided focused guidance on food poisoning prevention and hygiene management methods for food handlers, as well as important precautions related to food sales at group meal facilities.
In particular, to prevent food poisoning caused by high temperature and humidity during the summer and to ensure the supply of fresh and safe food ingredients, the training communicated the requirements that suppliers must comply with. It also explained procedures for efficient recall during distribution in the event of a food poisoning incident.
After the lecture, participants shared opinions for the smooth supply of food ingredients and had a communication session to improve the operational efficiency of the center.
Kim Jeommin, head of the Our Agricultural Products Distribution Division, said, "I hope today's training helps strengthen the hygiene management capabilities of food ingredient suppliers," and added, "We will continue to strive to supply safe food ingredients for public meal services."
