Honam Statistics Office to Conduct 'Economic Statistics Integrated Survey' Targeting 50,000 Businesses
Understanding Structural Changes in Manufacturing and Service Industries
Provisional Results to Be Announced in December
The Honam Regional Statistics Office announced on June 18 that it will conduct the "2025 Economic Statistics Integrated Survey" of approximately 50,000 businesses in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeju regions until July 21.
The Economic Statistics Integrated Survey is conducted annually to assess the status of domestic industries and business activities, including manufacturing and service industries. It integrates four types of economic statistics surveys: mining and manufacturing, service industries, transportation, and business activities. Businesses subject to the survey can choose their preferred response method from face-to-face interviews conducted by surveyors, or non-face-to-face methods such as internet, email, fax, or telephone.
The survey results are used for industrial policy formulation and evaluation, corporate decision-making, and academic research. The provisional results for this year will be released in December. Commissioner Jung Koo-hyun emphasized, "Accurate statistics are essential for government policy formulation and evaluation," and requested the active participation of the businesses selected for the survey.
