The "Kitchen Disclosure Project" is conducted year-round for delivery-only restaurants equipped solely with cooking facilities and no customer seating. Photos of participating kitchens are published on the district’s official website, allowing consumers to directly check the cooking environment. This is intended to increase consumer trust and encourage restaurants to voluntarily participate in hygiene management.
Participating establishments receive a "Kitchen Disclosure Certified Restaurant" plaque, as well as hygiene and safety items such as cleaning agents and K-class fire extinguishers. The project is also promoted through various channels, including Yeongdeungpo District’s official social media accounts and newsletters. Applications are accepted throughout the year, and detailed information can be found on the "Notices and Announcements" section of the district website.
Starting this year, the district is newly operating the "Kitchen Organization and Storage Coaching Team" for small-scale general and cafe-style restaurants with an area of 100 square meters or less. This initiative supports small businesses struggling with hygiene management by providing on-site organization and storage assistance. Up to 50 establishments are being recruited for participation until June 20.
The coaching team is composed of professional organization and storage companies, as well as district residents with relevant certifications. They conduct on-site assessments and provide customized organization and storage solutions for each restaurant. By offering guidance on efficient space utilization, the team helps prevent food safety incidents such as cross-contamination and also contributes to local job creation.
Restaurants are supported with practical organization items such as storage baskets and food labeling stickers, as well as pest control services, to help maintain a clean environment.
