Seo-gu selected 19 consumer food hygiene inspectors to serve as consultants for the project. All members of the team obtained the 'Organization and Storage Specialist Certificate' after completing a total of 16 hours of theoretical education and field training, forming a practical, field-ready consultant team.
The team will help business owners improve their practical hygiene management skills by providing hygiene assessments of kitchens, food storage areas, and refrigerators, demonstrating organization methods, and offering guidance on hygiene improvement measures, so that owners can maintain hygiene independently.
Priority for participation will be given to small restaurants operated by elderly individuals or women who face difficulties organizing their kitchens, as well as to 'Good Store' businesses and other small restaurants involved in social contribution. The final selection will be made through a public recruitment process in July.
Kim Ikang, mayor of Seo-gu, stated, "We are moving away from traditional health and hygiene administration focused on inspections and supervision, and shifting toward providing practical on-site support for hygiene management and kitchen organization. Through field-oriented administration, we will continue to implement policies that provide real support to self-employed individuals and local alley commercial districts."
