With temperatures rising recently and the rainy season forecasted, the risk of anthracnose disease is increasing in major fruit crops such as jujube, peaches, and apples. Anthracnose is a plant disease where preemptive control and early response have a greater impact on yield than post-outbreak measures, making it crucial not to miss the optimal window for prevention.
The Hampyeong Agricultural Technology Center distributed control agents to farms to prevent anthracnose, provided detailed guidance on the timing and methods of application, and urged farmers to complete spraying before the rainy season to maximize the effectiveness of disease control.
Moon Jeongmo, head of the Hampyeong Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "To stably produce high-quality fruit, it is essential to carry out thorough preventive management and not miss the proper timing for disease control," adding, "We will continue to strengthen field-oriented technical support for pest and disease prevention going forward."
