View original imageThe purpose of the visit was to observe the Korean senior care field where IT technology is integrated. Sompo Care observed musculoskeletal rehabilitation and dementia prevention programs at the daycare center. At Caring Stay, the delegation toured key facilities such as the intelligent artificial intelligence (AI) closed-circuit television (CCTV) system installed to prevent fall accidents, the communal living room, and the physical therapy room.
Saito Kazuhiro, Senior Division Leader at Sompo Care, said, "I was impressed that the elderly were actively participating in smart cognitive and rehabilitation programs and that IT technology was being actively utilized," adding, "Since both Korea and Japan have entered a super-aged society, we hope to continue expanding exchanges between our companies to contribute to creating a better care environment."
