This initiative was carried out to prevent flood damage caused by extreme heavy rainfall during the summer.
During this major cleaning, a total of 60 rainwater drains in the key management areas of Deoksandong were inspected, and accumulated debris such as trash and fallen leaves was collected to prevent flood damage from extreme heavy rainfall.
The remaining rainwater drains will also be checked for drainage function and any damage, and dredging and emergency repairs are scheduled to be completed before the rainy season begins.
Kim Hyejeong, head of Deoksandong, stated, "The active participation and interest of residents have greatly contributed to making Deoksandong free from flood concerns," and requested, "We hope you will continue to join us in keeping Deoksandong clean and pleasant."
