Miryang City to Hold Online Citizen Vote for Outstanding Proactive Public Officials in the First Half of the Year
Participate via the "Communication with Citizens, Civil Participation, and Survey" section on the official Miryang City website
Miryang City in South Gyeongsang Province will conduct an online citizen vote for six days, from June 11 to June 16, to select outstanding proactive public officials for the first half of 2025.
This vote has been organized to expand the practice of proactive administration by allowing citizens to directly choose exemplary cases of proactive governance.
This year, the number of selected officials has been increased from two to five, reflecting the results of an employee survey. In addition, the reward amount has been raised from 300,000 won to a maximum of 500,000 won, thereby strengthening compensation in line with achievements.
Citizens can participate in the online vote through the 'Communication with Citizens, Civil Participation, and Survey' section on the official Miryang City website. The voting process allows participants to select three out of nine posted exemplary cases.
The city will combine the results of the online citizen vote, practical evaluations, and the personnel committee's assessment to determine the final outstanding public officials. Various incentives, such as additional points for personnel evaluations and monetary rewards, will be provided.
Yang Gikyu, Director of Population Policy, stated, "Proactive administration is an important effort that brings real change to citizens' daily lives," and added, "We ask for your interest and participation in the selection of outstanding public officials, which will be determined directly by citizens."
