A 93,000㎡ Park to Be Developed in Buk-myeon, Gapyeong-gun
A park covering an area of 93,000㎡ will be developed in the Buk-myeon area of Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province.
On June 10, Gyeonggi Province gave final approval and public notice for the Gapyeong-gun management plan and topographic map to establish the "US-UK Commonwealth Tourism Security Park" in Buk-myeon, Gapyeong-gun.
This decision on the county management plan is one of the preliminary administrative procedures to create a historical landmark space in connection with the Northern Mega Development Project currently being promoted by Gyeonggi Province.
Buk-myeon in Gapyeong-gun is an area where significant battles took place during the Korean War and is home to various historical resources, including monuments commemorating the participation of US and UK Commonwealth forces.
