Gyeonggi Province Holds 'Youth Convergence Technology Startup Support' Entrance Ceremony on June 5... Support for AI and ICT Fields
On June 5, Gyeonggi Province and the Next Generation Convergence Technology Institute held the 'Youth Convergence Technology Startup Support' entrance ceremony at the Next Generation Convergence Technology Institute located in Suwon Gwanggyo Technovalley.
The Youth Convergence Technology Startup Support program is a project that supports youth technology startups in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and information and communication technology (ICT), utilizing the startup infrastructure of the Next Generation Convergence Technology Institute. This year, the program expanded its eligibility from university students to all young people.
Gyeonggi Province and the Next Generation Convergence Technology Institute selected a total of 20 teams through document screening and presentation evaluations, including 6 university student teams and 14 youth teams.
The selected startup teams will receive up to 50 million won in commercialization funding, as well as the right to move into shared and individual startup spaces.
In addition, the teams will receive support such as field-specific mentoring by researchers from the Next Generation Convergence Technology Institute and professors from Seoul National University, convergence technology camps, and startup education programs including the 'Convergence Technology Startup Demo Day' inviting domestic venture capitalists (VCs) and startup accelerators (ACs).
